Responsibilities:

  • I am currently partnered with Projility to enhance our client Confidential ’s implementation of Microsoft Project Server 2013 online O365.
  • My duties include the analysis of the existing environment as well as the current Project Management processes/methodologies used at Confidential, the gathering of all project requirements, the configuration of their security model in Project Server permissions mode to improve security and to limit particular groups from accessing resources outside of their Confidential, AD Synchronization process documentation, an end to end Proposal process implemented into a SharePoint list using InfoPath forms and workflows to allow Confidential to track their proposals from ideation through project approval, unique Project and Proposal Id’s, gathering the requirements for and helping to guide the configuration Project Online allowing Confidential to dramatically expand their Project Online capabilities, and including demonstrations of these features and capabilities throughout the project timeline.

Responsibilities:

  • My role was that of Project Lead/Project Expert and to provide server administration duties for both the business and IT. Gathering requirements from key stakeholders and doing an analysis of the existing server farm as well as Confidential current Processes/Standards was a major step for this migration.
  • As the sole Project Server expert on the project, my weekly activities included things like facilitating the building of custom web parts and reports using Excel Services, OLAP,SSRS, Project views, custom fields and formulas, training of IT and business personnel, the establishment, analysis and modification of PMO processes and standards and methodologies, guidance in all phases of the migration in regards to Project Server, role mapping, security model configuration, resource synchronization, and troubleshooting of any project professional or project server issues faced by the users, best practices utilization of the server, project schedule and server audits, process improvement mapping to facilitate process automation and enhancement and server recommendations for the IT team to maintain server health, stability and sustainability.
  • In addition, we deployed the demand management feature at Confidential to enable the team to establish a new project selection process and to gain control over the entire portfolio of projects, this was something as an organization that they did not have before, I was able to implement the feature with the help of my team, from the ground up.
  • I was also responsible for creating and delivering all training content across the enterprise consisting of all features implemented for Project Professional, Project Web App and the internal IT and Business Administrators, this includes both front end Project Management elements as well as back end Information Technology components.
  • As the sole source of this content, I became the conduit between the business (Project Management) and IT (Back End Server Support).

  • I previously worked with Confidential to implement Microsoft Project Server 2013 on premise into their internal PMO.
  • My duties included my initial assessment of their processes/standards to include the full PM methodology.
  • An Immediate solicitation of requirements to include interviews, a matrix and mapping of those requirements as well as the requirements questionnaire.
  • I also completed capacity planning, a project manager survey (to identify and leverage internal PM Confidential experience), the system design architecture with documentation (production and development tiers), the project charter, the statement of work, the executive summary, the complete baselined project plan, risk and issue identification and tracking, the project budget, the build of a prototype environment, the training and guidance of the Confidential internal IT department as applicable to MS Project Server, the identification of and training for an MS Project Server Administrator, the documentation of all processes/standards required to maintain the server and to support the project managers daily work along with the Confidential methodology.
  • The creation of a PMO wide WBS dictionary, role mapping to the Confidential security model, backup recovery procedure identification, a re-imaging of the production environment process, project server configuration control documents, complete project server rollout plan, established the identification of projects by project type to create project templates (EPT’s) mapped to the WBS and methodology.
  • This also included the complete front and back end configurations as well as the setup and build of multiple reports as required.
