  • Responsibilities included leading complete SDLC, validation and regulatory activities. Also responsible for all interfaces to and from these systems. Some of the interfaces were to SAP 4.6C system (for Customer, Asset & Billing data), Manufacturing systems (for Inventory, Orders & Shipping data), Confidential Warehouse management systems (for Inventory & Shipping data). The size of the teams I lead for these projects varied from 3 to 15 people.
  • Lead the design and development of the Data Warehouse interface to Siebel and the data repository for Customer Support department related data marts. Worked with the Cognos development group in the creation of Cubes and Web reports. The size of the Data warehouse was about 100GB and the size of the largest cube was about 1GB.   • Project and Program Management responsibilities for the development and implementation of Clinical Laboratory Services system. This system collects diagnostic and usage information from Abbott medical instruments installed at customer clinical labs. This data is then used for remote monitoring and troubleshooting of the devices, automated service ticket generation and for automated billing of customers. Technologies used in this application include J2EE, XML, SOAP, HTTP, SMTP and Oracle 9i. The team size was 10 people (BSAs, Developers, QA, etc.).
  • Validation activities for the above projects included creating & executing IQs, OQs, PQs, conducting compliance assessment for CFR Part11 & HIPAA regulations, creating and maintaining Project History File (electronic format), proper documentation and approval of other SDLC documents like URS, SRS, SDD, SPMP, Trace Matrix, Design Review, Problem reporting and resolution as per QA guidelines, Validation Summary, Move-To-Production, etc.
  • Lead a team for the development of a web based Sales reporting systems used by over 2000 Sales Reps.   • Designed, developed and implemented the Customer Support Organization’s Data Warehouse .
  • This warehouse included data from Scopus, Clarify and Versant, an Object-Oriented 3Com Knowledgebase database.
  • Used ERwin to design the logical and physical database structure. Built two BusinessObjects Universes to provide reporting access to it. Created a web site for posting of the BO reports. I was the Supervisor of the two Universes and was responsible for the administration of the BO Repository.
  • The size of the Data warehouse was about 5 GB and the size of the largest cube was about 1GB. The size of the team I lead for this project was about 7.
  • Designed, developed and implemented a Data Warehouse for the Sales-out and Channel Inventory data. The data was collected from multiple Oracle databases and transformed to make reporting easier and faster. Used ERwin to design the database. Built a BusinessObjects Universe around this to provide the users with adhoc reporting capability. Developed standard reports that were refreshed nightly and posted on the intranet site.
  • Designed and developed Vision, a web-based tool for management of High Availability Radius Proxy (HARP) Servers used for authentication of Wireless data (WAP) sessions. This tool will be used by a major telecom company in Japan to manage the hundreds of HARPs deployed all over Japan. This tool was developed in Java using JBuilder and consists of servlets and applets. The data is stored in XML format files and validated using DTDs. Xerces is used to parse the XML documents in Java and Xalan is used to transform the XML documents into HTML and plain text files using XSLT. The OO design and the design documentation was done using Rational Rose (RUP) tool.
  • Designed, developed and implemented an Intranet based database application for consolidating and reporting of Channel Inventory information of various 3Com product lines. The web interface for Collecting, Validating, and Reporting of data was developed using NetDynamics, Java, JavaScript and HTML and the database used was Oracle 8.0.5. Used ERwin to design the logical and physical database structure and used Rational Rose for the OO design of the application. Set up ECXpert to automate the data file receipt, validation, acknowledgment and reporting process.
  • Designed, developed and implemented a Marketing Decision Support System for consolidating various sources of (Web, BBS, Lotus Notes, data-warehousing vendors, etc.) Consumer and Product Registration information into one Oracle 7.3 database. The database structure was designed using ERwin and S-Designer. The product registration internet web site was developed using Perl and Confidential scripts and the desktop Client front end was developed in Visual Basic 4.0 - 32 bit and Crystal Reports was used for reporting. Stored procedures, written in PL/SQL, were used to process data and SQL*Loader was used to load the raw data. Rational Rose was used for designing & documentation.
