  • Lead the contracted ETL offshore development teams with architectural plans / HLAs, performance tuning, along with design and code reviews to company standards.
  • Responsible for hardware selection Proof of Concepts evaluating Teradata Appliance platform, IBM PureData and Oracle ExaData resulting in the purchase of two 12 Node Teradata 2850 Appliance database systems for dual site redundancy.
  • Architected distributed processing and dual site model to allow data loading so that if a site is down (i.e. hurricane or other major reason) data could be loaded at the alternate site. This also allows Users to access data at the site they are closest too. This utilized Teradata databases, Teradata Data Mover, Informatica, Oracle repositories and GoldenGate.
  • Implemented the data synchronization as ETL sessions for consistency and ease of operations.
  • Architected automatically updating foreign keys that could not be resolved during initial data loading due to latency issues.

  • Responsible for hardware Proof of Concepts evaluating IBM PureData, Teradata Appliance platform and Oracle ExaData resulting in the purchase of an IBM PureData database for the Voice Line of business. Lead the data migration from the former DB2 platform to the new IBM PureData.
  • The new Data Warehouse loaded 150 Million records/day of voice call detail records providing the users with Near Real Time (4 hrs or less latency SLA) reporting and analytics.
