- Acts as business partner to proactive recruitment by working with hiring managers to develop an in - depth understanding of the position, candidate requirements, and assist in specifying in-depth job requirements
- Takes the lead in identifying recruitment needs and network resources available in assigned districts
- Conducts various analysis related to recruitment and coach/mentor the hiring manager for improved business engagements on events, advertising, costs, resources, etc. for efficiency

- Actively identifies gaps in processes and suggest changes necessary to cove risks
- Provides ongoing training to hiring managers regarding recruitment, hiring processes and efficient use of the applicant tracking system
- Builds, maintain, and support the relationships with over 125 hiring managers, operation managers, and supervisors
- Responsible for staying current on developments in areas impacting industry recruiting (e.g., pay, employee benefits, general personnel and hiring practices)
- Screens resumes, provides recommendations and facilitates the assessment and selection process, including occasionally pre-screening applicants and conducting interviews and occasionally make hiring decisions for dock, driver and driver apprentice positions
- Reviews processes, procedures and develop recommendations for improvements and/or system enhancements
- Uses expert recruitment knowledge, including knowledge of federal and state employment laws to assist the hiring manager in the development of pre-screening interviews and selection interviews if no standard selection criteria available
