Project Management OfficeResponsibilities:
- As the Project Management Office Confidential I worked on many software development projects for BSEE. Projects include web based information exchange programs, GIS, EDMS, and architecture consolidation. For these projects, I led teams through each stage of the project. The stages included planning, construction and implementation. The planning phase includes requirements gathering using use cases and building of project plans using Microsoft Project. I would determine time frames and resources for the project and leveled the resources in the project plan. During the construction phase of the project, I would track progress using the milestones defined in the project plan and report monthly progress on projects.
- I also conducted biweekly progress meetings with upper management and with the project teams. The implementation phase consisted of moving the project results to production. This included regression testing, client testing and sign off, leading the implementation team in moving the product to production.

Other major products included conceptual data model, software development life cycle, software development plan, and architecture documents. One of my projects was a major architecture consolidation project to bring the various BSEE computer applications under a single architecture.
- I set the date when the consolidation should begin, the selection of software to use for the project, and the order in which to consolidate the applications. I had to coordinate ITD staff and contractor staff to accomplish the development of the plan. Part of the project was to implement a single sign on solution using Microsoft Active Directory.
- ITD is currently using the Agile Methodology on all development projects. Four scrum teams worked under my direction on an industry web based submittal and approval process, spatial updates, and mapping application. Another major responsibility is the management of the acquisition team. The major tasks for the team include developing acquisition strategies including budget, milestones, requirement verification, acquisition scheduling, and solicitation documentation. The documentation set may include a statement of work, independent government cost estimate, evaluation criteria, purchase requisition, market research, or sole source justification. I managed the acquisition staff as required and according to the federal regulations (FAR).

- Served as the ITD Application Branch Chief in charge of software development. Major responsibilities included: managing a staff of IT professionals in the design, development, and maintenance of computer systems. Responsible for all aspects of application development including.

- Tasks included implementation plan development, weekly transition meetings, training users, ensuring code and scripts were locked up for operations and DBA staff during implementation. ITD Maintenance and Enhancement Section Team LeaderResponsibilities:
- Served as the ITD Maintenance and Enhancement Section Team Leader. I was responsible for the completion of all modifications and enhancements made to the Confidential mission critical computer system called TIMS. My staff consisted of up to 30 computer specialists, several contractors and government employees.
- I set the priorities for the team. I decided which assignments needed to be completed and when. I was responsible for the completion of the work. I set completion dates for each task with the analyst in charge of the module. If an assignment lagged behind, I met with the employee to develop a plan to get the assignment back on schedule and completed.
- One major project I was in charge of was the eWell pilot. I was responsible for all the work of the team. Since this pilot used all new hardware and software, I was involved with developing new methodologies for developing software using object oriented techniques.
- I worked to solve all security concerns of the pilot. I worked to define the data architecture for the pilot and to solve problems of using a relational database with object oriented solutions. This involved mapping of data objects from the pilot to TIMS relational tables.
- The team and I developed new procedures and standards for developing web based applications. I oversaw the complete enhancement work process. I was responsible for getting the enhancements made, ensure the enhancements were correct, and on time. Some of the enhancement projects were the Oracle tools conversion to Oracle Toolset 6.0, the TIMS-Geologic Interpretive Tools integration effort, the REMap project, and OSRA Mapping project. The Oracle tools conversion project was updating our toolset to the state of the art Oracle tools. In this project, I was in charge of anticipating the problems we would encounter and determining the resolution, developing the conversion methodology, developing the conversion schedule, determining and implementing architecture changes and coordinating with users and other IT professionals.

- Served as the Mapping project lead in the design and development of Confidential mapping systems, which provided interactive and/or batch mapping support to Confidential personnel. I was responsible for the planning, designing, and implementing of mapping systems. These systems are used to generate computerized maps and to perform analysis of spatial data.
- I was also responsible for the design and development of all methodology for TIMS. I developed the rapid systems development process that the agency ITD staff used, the TIMS automated data element dictionary, project tracking software, and methodology applications. I was responsible for the development of TIMS standards in hardware, software, and software development methodology.
- While in this position I supervised five computer specialists and ensured the work performance was of a satisfactory amount and quality, as well as assigning, reviewing, accepting, amending, or rejecting the work performed. My main duty was to lead the above-defined team and clients in the design of the agency mapping systems. I frequently consulted with users and management to determine their mapping needs and transform these interviews into formal feasibility studies, preliminary design documents, and project plans. I've developed alternative courses of actions for the mapping effort for hardware, software and personnel requirements. I've acted as liaison with other Offshore Confidential agencies and departmental personnel to exchange technical information and secure acceptance and approval of major mapping proposals.

Responsibilities:
- Major responsibilities were the implementation, integrity, and maintenance of Confidential 's databases. I was responsible for the selection and upkeep of database software throughout the agency. I ensured that all database systems were using the same versions of software and controlled the version updates throughout the agency. I developed agency database standards and enforced compliance with the standards. I was also responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and use of the agency data element dictionary.
