- A Confidential practice me worked in after O&G practice came to a near halt. me managed teh transition of traditional data center infrastructure into a Confidential managed solution to include both colocation and cloud services. This typically included building out a large Hadoop environment where petabytes of data were stored and analytics executed to drive value to teh businesses it served.
- As part of teh regulatory review of a pending acquisition, me was responsible for building two fully functional and self-contained compute and EMC storage environments into teh cloud, wif core infrastructure services for each of teh two divested business units. While teh primary scope is to transition infrastructure assets into teh cloud, this involved working wif cloud vendor (HP Helion VPC) to stand up hosting infrastructure for +1,800 servers, including post go live support during post go live TSA period.
- Managed teh divestment of Shell IT SCADA Infrastructure assets at various well locations in teh Haynesville Shale formation. Teh project included working wif teh buyer of teh asset, understanding requirements, establishing an agreed upon scope, and developing a plan to execute on teh divestment, transition, and integration of portions of teh SCADA infrastructure that were purchased.
- Managed a large global Upstream IT Transition project/program that provided teh necessary infrastructure, from a planning and implementation perspective, to support transition from Landmark Graphics to another reservoir software suite from Schlumberger called Petrel. It was intended to support teh "seismic-to-simulation" workflow. Teh scope included thirteen sites in eleven countries wif a corresponding budget of 8mm USD.
