About 20,000 MasterCard branded cards were distributed during the project pilot with an estimated 2 million NFC tags and cards expected for commercial roll-out.
• Selected a technical partner for the implementation and deployment of the Instant Issuance of Financial Payment Cards MC, VISA for commercial banks. About five commercial banks now issue instant payment cards thus saving 3 million from the pre-existing pre-issue model, saving customers time and significantly increasing revenue from electronic payments by at least 10 .
• Initiated, designed, implemented and completed the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard PCIDSS certification as a member service provider for MC. The entire process from scoping, gap analysis, re-mediation to documentation was completed in only one month with a cost efficiency of about 20 compared to other completed PCIDSS certification process.
