Detroit, MI

SUMMARY:

  • I’m all about delivery, execution, and getting things done.
  • And I’ve spent a good portion of the last 18 years applying those skills to the execution of large IT projects and programs.
  • From a home - grown global cash flow forecasting system that we co-developed with a global treasury system software company and deployed in 26 months, to several implementations of SAS Fraud Framework tools with two different organizations, to a Salesforce-based Case Management system for a local bank.
  • Across industries from automotive to government to health care to financial services.
  • One of my key strengths is my business experience.
  • This experience gives me the ability to understand problems and issues from the customer’s perspective, whether internal or external. I understand the “what keeps me up at night” type concerns, and translate them into technological solutions. I also understand and can communicate the ROI of the projects and programs I work on.
  • And I stay close to the action on my projects and programs, so while I’m just as comfortable talking with the CFO as I am with the CIO, I can also work closely with business SMEs and developers.
  • I was also quite fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend the early part of my career in Silicon Valley.
  • While I worked there I learned a lot about the way they treat people, and I’ve assimilated that into my management style.
  • So I treat both my onshore and offshore teams well, and that in turn attracts the best people to them.
  • We then work hard as a team to deliver excellent results to our business customers.
  • Because I recognize that the business is the reason that IT exists, not the other way around.
