- As a Process Leader my role consists of developing, training and implementing Agile Aviva. This introduced a new SDLC process to project development. To implement this required extensive training of Agile and Scrum along with certification of Scrum Master and Product Owner. I have been in the role of Scrum Master on several projects and eventually trained project managers and technical leads to assume this role on their projects. I then assumed the role of full-time coaching of the scrum masters, product owners and scrum teams. Even teams that are not formal Agile projects have implemented some of the concepts and have required my assistance in getting starting. Part of this effort required extensive documentation of training material through Agile University and setup of guidelines for the Agile SDLC process at Aviva USA.
- As a Manager my role consisted of managing teams consisting of System Analysts, and Developer resources. I was responsible for their training and effective and efficient deliveries of their project responsibilities. I also worked closely with project managers to ensure staff was delivering as expected and that resources were available as needed. This included hiring additional staff or contractors to fulfill the necessary project roles. This also included the traditional HR functions of management.
- As a Director my role consisted of implementing and managing a Quality Assurance department for the validation of new, improved and fixed code prior to its implementation into production. This consisted of the introduction of the Quality Center of Excellence. Initially, the team required business resources to perform the testing functions however, during my tenure this was eliminated with the team taking on all of the testing responsibilities. The team received numerous recognition from the business areas as to the quality, efficiency and timeliness of code validation.

As a Systems Analyst my role consisted of performing analyst functions such a requirements gathering and documentation, testing and training of new annuity product functionality. This also included having numerous walk-throughs with the business and IT partners to ensure the business was getting what they expected. I also was the Lead System Analyst on the project that took The Phoenix from a Mutual to a Public organization.
