  • Architected and coordinated the implementation of a Business Data Warehouse System utilizing Cognos. Established a new team to support the daily infrastructure management of the environment. Works towards extending the support team by incorporating an offshore vendor to manage operation support functions.

  • Reduced overall Storage cost across the SAP landscapes by implementing a data management program consisting of multiple projects that included BCV (Business Continuity Volume) Elimination, re-tiering of storage, data deletion of redundant and unused storage, Sap archiving re-platforming to lower tiered storage, and Db2 row compression. The reduction has reduced San storage costs by approximately 5 million a year with another index compression planned that is expected to yield another 1-2 million in additional yearly saving. The row compression implemented saved database from growing from 9 to 15 terabytes over this past year.
  • Coordinated and validated multiple successful Disaster Recovery tests of the SAP Production environment. Migrated Disaster Recovery systems to Logical partitions on the QA landscapes giving the Disaster Recovery adequate resources while reducing the foot print and out of date infrastructure saving $600 thousand dollars in savings for Confidential .
  • Assisted in architecture and implementation for moving development, quality assurance, production support, and production environments for SAP from their west coast location to east coast facility and refreshed the Aix, Linux and Windows Operating Systems and DB2 Database levels as well as the IBM servers to handle future growth as well.
