- Served as the Technology Department principal point of contact and subject matter expert in developing the implementation strategy for an Authority-wide security awareness program. This program was designed to ensure that the Authority is meeting all regulatory requirements for information technology security, not exposing sensitive infrastructure operations, and mitigating unwanted information risks of the Authority and it’s stakeholders. This included risk assessments, firewall upgrades and software updates. The Security program included projects such as 2 factor authentication, single sign on, role based security and access management.
- Managed the HQ Data Center Rehabilitation project, whose main objective was to upgrade all existing hardware and software to address ongoing data center challenges. Some activities included reconfiguration of the headquarters and disaster recovery data centers in preparation for upgraded climate control systems, data migration, electrical equipment, fire protection systems, and cable management infrastructure. Managedphysical to virtual server migrationsand system deployments in HQ datacenter as well as collaborated with project team to determine decommissioning efforts for physical servers. Compatibility was required with all devices and processes that were currently using old Bellsouth connections. The project redesigned, reconfigured and replaced devices or processes to accommodate the new Confidential &T platform. 53 customer sites were impacted.
