  • Participated in the development of a fully functional Data Warehouse as part of a Global Financial Re-engineering and Legacy System Replacement Project called ATLAS. Project goals are t provide a single source of policy, claim, and reinsurance financial data feed t ACE INA's general ledger and populate dimensional data models utilizing COGNOS t facilitate business intelligence, end-user reporting and standardized business metrics. Another project goal is t eliminate aging legacy applications t streamline disparate mainframe systems while reducing cost of applications, as well as outsourced maintenance contracts.
  • In 2009, the project completed the capture of 40 years of policy, claim, and reinsurance financial data book of record off the mainframe from tape cartridge storage and created a data mart which was delivered t the business community via COGNOS and DB2. Over a 6 month period in 2009, a business planning team was formed t work with the ACE Data Warehouse team t complete the roadmap for future deliverables. In February of 2010, ACE partnered with Accenture t provide the consulting services for the management, design and delivery of the ATLAS project. Initial deliverables being worked in 2010 include short term options t quickly deliver areas of reporting needs back t the business community while the requirements for the rest of the project roadmap are gathered and analyzed. Various strategic policy, reinsurance and claim registration systems were identified during the planning process in 2009 and will entail 4 strategic source systems t feed the Data Warehouse.
