  • Managed the expansion of Medicare and Medicaid Managed Care plans related to the expansion of services for the Affordable Care Act.

  • Managed a Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Compliance program for Confidential ’s Office of the CTO.
  • Confidential risked billions of dollars of lost revenue if not completed on time. I managed the 216 SOX applications through the process of making sure the infrastructure they relied on was made compliant.
  • This included all UNIX, Windows, Linux, Citrix, mainframe, and database servers supporting each application.
  • Our team initiated communications with the 216 application teams and conducted discovery to determine requirements for each one.
  • Then we communicated instructions for becoming compliant and managed each application team through the steps to becoming compliant.
  • This was a highly political project with much at stake for all involved.
  • During the midst of this project Confidential completed a contract to outsource the management of all of their data centers to IBM adding to the complexity.
  • As part of this program I also created new process to ensure future projects identified for SOX Compliance would have a clear pathway through the Compliance process.

  • Managed technical projects for the ITS Technical Services Team.

  • Managed the technical team responsible for creating the Virtual ICU.
  • This project allowed John Muir to provide Intensivist physicians with all of the monitoring information needed to assess and treat 75+ ICU patients from a remote centralized command center. Monitoring included on demand audio and video conferencing, as well as a variety of systems interfaces.
  • This was an emerging technology interfacing with both Confidential and Confidential which created challenges for design, deployment, coordination, and support.
