Major Deliverables:

• Technical Project Manager responsible for implementing a 9 Million High Availability / Disaster Recovery solution in Little Rock for a Production application hosted in Chicago. Managed the entire build out of the infrastructure to support the environments. The Recovery Time Objective RTO for this environment was under 30 minutes with a Recovery Point Objective RPO of 1 hour. This application has a financial impact of over 10 Million per day of downtime for the organization. The solution was to mirror the environment and replicate the data through EMC's SRDF/A. This entailed the build out various environments from Unix/Wintel Servers to WAN/LAN and SAN Infrastructure. Managed a team of over 50 individuals in various locations throughout the United States to implement this solution.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of small to large IT projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Had overall responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to the establishment of the project group assessments, project process maintenance. Hands on as well as high-level review of project approaches, Visio diagrams technical and hierarchal , statements of work, and vendor management.
• Responsible for the migration of numerous application environments, due to data center closures, in Santa Ana, California over to Chicago, Illinois. Environments include TestDirector, ClearCase, and custom applications. Solutions ranged from forklifts to lightswitch and replication.
• Rapid build out and deployment and testing of a Performance and Load Testing environment in Little Rock, Arkansas. Responsible in managing teams in California, Florida, Illinois, and Arkansas.

Assisted in the conversion process with developers and troubleshot connectivity problems as it relates to Intranet, Extranet, and Internet complications in a large organization. Authored customized installation and administration manuals for the project.
• Architected the Development and Production environments each consisting of three servers Oracle database server, WebSphere Application Server, and the HTTPD Server. Network connectivity spanned the WAN and traversed through multiple firewalls within the organization. Utilized ports 80, 443, 8080, 9090, 22, 23, 25. Overcame graphic display issues with X11 displays with the use of X11 tunneling/forwarding and SSH. Designed the transport between the application server and the web server to utilize a self-signed SSL encryption to assure secure communication between two data centers.

• Infrastructure Lead/Manager providing Open Systems design and management direction for a large-scale three tier custom HIPAA transaction processing system. This system was designed with the capability of processing over one million transactions per day utilizing Vitria, MQ-Series, Oracle, and WebSphere.
• Project Infrastructure Design and Implementation lead for Development, Test, QA, Staging, Client Test, Disaster Recovery, and Production environments for multiple locations. Specified the hardware and software configuration for all servers and laid out the disk sub-systems for the multiple environments. Directed the outsourcing vendor in the configuration and management of the firewall architecture to allow for VPN capability from multiple location points and specified the ACLs Access Control List for each location. Engineered the DNS, NTP, and SMTP framework in their nation-wide private network. Designed an alternate monitoring system to manage UNIX and Wintel servers and Cisco network devices utilizing OpenSource software Apache, PHP, Zabbix, MySQL, MRTG, and UCD-SNMP.
