Responsibilities:

  • Lead a medium size (about 25 functional and technical professionals) team to provide Confidential with standard JDE 9.1 functionality consisting of financials, manufacturing, procurement, inventory, and equipment rental operations.
  • This was achieved by migrating the Confidential business from the currently used three instances of MS-Dynamics and one instance of Great Plains systems to a single instance of JDE 9.1.ERP System.
  • The new system was originally scheduled to go-live by mid-October 2015 in a single cutover for all Confidential districts and business lines.
  • However, the client (a publicly owned company) chose to wait and deploy the new system in mid-January instead in order to avoid any risks associated with SOX and the year-end-close processing.
  • After successfully performing 2 mock-cutovers, client opted to retain a smaller team to proceed with the go-live cutover in January 2016.
  • A lean SDLC methodology and a set of practical project management processes were applied to effectively and efficiently lead 15 on-site and 10 off-shore technical and functional professionals to deliver a fully functional JDE 9.1 release to the client’s 350+ end-users in a single instance setting.
  • Three cycles of CRP testing, as well as a structured user acceptance, and two mock-cutover phases were executed to position the delivery of the system in a single cutover.
  • Data conversion: Converting business data from four different legacy systems into JDE, with the use of a 3- level data verification process to ensure full SOX compliance.
  • Training: Building/delivering a complete set of online training material with the use of UPK (Oracle’s User Productivity Kit).

  • Lead a large project team to successfully upgrade the JDE ERP system from Xe to 9.1 release.
  • The related upgrading and retrofitting work covered eight distinct and heavily customized functional areas (Equipment Maintenance, Finance, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and Service Rental) spanning through many Key Business Process Streams.
  • A lean SDLC methodology and a set of project management processes were applied to bring proven software engineering principals to effectively and efficiently lead 70+ on-site and 40+ off-shore technical and functional professionals to deliver a fully retrofitted version of JDE 9.1 release to the client’s 15,000+ end-users in a single instance setting (Worldwide 7 regions).
