Manager, IT Product Management

Responsibilities:

  • Created a mock community oncology clinic to demonstrate 12 Saas healthcare applications. It showed how these applications, along with some best practices, could improve clinical and operational performance in a practice. The applications took the user from intake to diagnosis including decision making on treatment plans and economics around treatment options. Once the patient started treatment, it was maintained and tracked. The billing piece was unique in that it showed the practice claims that went out, 837 files, and the matching claims that came back, 835 files, and any discrepancies in order tomaximize return.
  • Helped design the API strategy for integration across products
  • Provided demos and training on all applications - EMR, PM, Diagnosis Pathways, Treatment Plan Economics, e-Commerce purchasing of Inventory, Inventory Management, Prescription tracking, Patient Portal, Lab results tracking, Claims 13 point check, Claims matching, and Healthcare Data Exchange.
  • Managed a Treatment Plan Economics tool that helped streamline efficiencies within a Community Oncology office. It focused on what the physician paid for a drug then calculated what a Treatment Plan would cost the office, would they make money, lose money or break even only if they received the 20% from the patient. This included a Patient Financial Estimate that took into consideration the patient’s insurance.
  • Created new workflows for easy updating of a treatment plan through in-line updates
  • Worked with UX and CX to make sure the functionality is what the customer needed
  • Analyzed industry changes and competitive products to make sure the application would remain relevant
  • Instilled processes within the team among resistance to change
  • Worked to create automated testing plans, what should be automated vs. manual
  • Led the entire analytics and reporting for all products on the platform. The products included an EMR, Inventory Management and Treatment Plan Economics. These were both internal reports as well as customer facing reports.
  • Worked heavy in the data to uncover discrepancies or updates that were needed
  • Ran analytics on the usage, number of updates or new reports over a timeframe, as well as the overall performance of the products
  • Worked closely with stakeholders and customers
