RADIO FIELD ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER.
- Most recently, my employment was that of a Radio Field Engineer. I Supervised/Managed / Maintained more than twenty-five Radio Cell Sites here in Oklahoma, at Verizon Cell Site Locations. Verizon was our client. Previous to this I was a Consultant to the Federal Government, advising them on Video Surveillance / Data Storage Device options available to them, at both the Canadian and Mexican Borders. I worked out of New York and Arizona. I would also consider work as a Central Office Network Test Engineer.
- I have successfully completed very difficult contracting assignments - Henkles and McCoy, NASA, ERI / Department of the Navy/United States Air Force, CSS Corp, Calif. Department of Elections, among others. I have resolved endless thousands telecom troubles and issues on both fiber / Microwave because my testing experience includes 5 years each with Pacific Bell, MCI and AT T. This 15 years of daily troubleshooting/working trouble tickets During 1980-1999 , and using proprietary software has been very helpful in my clear understanding of telecom network facilities. This includes the ancillary equipment for Radio, Fiber and Copper. I have a smart, common sense approach to my work.
- I have worked with the Federal Government many times on telecom issues. Often I have worked under BLM, FAA, and FCC guidelines. At AT T, I applied for and received a Federal Top-Secret Security Clearance, which has expired. While working for a Federal Contractor, ERI, I was a Logistics and Project Manager managing a team of five technicians and their supervisor. We installed, tested and inspected Radio and Fiber equipment for the Federal Government. I worked at China Lake Naval Weapons Test Center and Edwards Air Force Base in California. This position required that I give frequent status presentations to Federal Officials. Directors have described my work as both excellent and remarkable .
- I have completed many industry telecom courses. I have many years of Central Office test experience. I thoroughly understand testing of DS-1's and DS-3's.I have worked on / tested and done provisioning on most types of circuits, to include DS-0's 911, 411, 800 's, TSPS, DDS, and VF Circuits , E1's, DS-2, DSL, SS7 / CCIS, IP Ethernet Over TDM, up to OC-192 and Broadcast Video. This has included the associated muxes, D4 Banks, M-13's, T1DM's and the Alcatel 1631 Dxc. I have formal training on the Nortel DMS-500 and have also worked on the DEX600E Digital Switch Four years . I have many years of trouble-shooting on the PSTN. This includes 15 years of day to day completion of Trouble Tickets. My work has included meeting KPI's and SLA's promised to end-users.
- I am formally trained/have worked on the Fiber Muxes SONET and the Fujitsu Flashwave among others. My work has involved extensive SCADA telemetry , Single Point Grounding, resolving backplane issues, and antenna problems. I know LEC's, CLEC's and IXC's. I have also worked in POP's and Colo's. My work includes the ancillary equipment, dehydraters, chargers / rectifiers / batteries / grounding, etc. My work also includes extensive radio, 4G-LTE, among others, and fiber DWDM work, testing/analyzing using freq counters, power meters, the OTDR and T3 test- sets, in order to find intermittent circuit and system failures. I have worked on Harris Constellation , Aviat Eclipse , NEC NLite , Ericsson 4G LTE , Varian and Alcatel Radio's, Lucent Fiber among others . I understand the UCC. I have assembled and tuned Local Oscillators. I am skilled in Drive Testing, in order to document promises made to customers. I am able to read and comprehend technical drawings, schematics and circuit layout records. I have three Valid FCC Radio Licenses.
- More than 15 years of Telecom/Radio/Fiberoptic work and my demonstrated ability to solve very difficult network troubles makes me qualified for this kind of work. Telecom lends itself to teamwork. I have an AA Degree in Speech Communications. My FCC General Class Radiotelephone License is valid, as is my FCC RADAR License. I am also FCC GMDSS Certified. My five other FCC License s have expired. I am a Veteran of the United States Army, having served three years being Honorably Discharged. I have No Criminal History. Ericsson Radio's newly installed for US Cellular. I worked with Field Engineers in an effort to meet parameters / KPI's promised to end-user. I worked on downloads, ping-latency, handoffs, RF Power, Corrupt Software issues, etc. I dealt with the public, local police and landowner right-of-way issues.
