- Decentralized General Ledger processing at Citibank, N.A., saving the company over 40 million.
- Developed the main operational database application that allowed Mobile Diagnostic Services, Inc. to double revenue while reducing staff size and expenses in the healthcare services industry. The application's object-oriented design allowed for greater scalability and reduced maintenance costs. This application was developed to automate 24/7 manual operations in a time- and data-critical environment and has been functioning daily since 1992
- Converted a major alternative investment hedge fund application from a Visual FoxPro backend database to Oracle resulting in greater scalability, reliability and performance.
- Subsequent to a three year failed attempt by a third-party consulting firm analyzed, designed and developed a mission-critical index review application used by a major index provider to manage the composition of over 300,000 equity indices. As part of the one-and-a-half year project managed a team of developers and was responsible for all coordination with our business counterparts.
- Assumed responsibility for and stabilized existing out-of-control mission-critical applications at Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale WestLB and Princeton Insurance Companies, allowing the firms to reduce development expenses and meet new and changing business and regulatory demands.

| Application Architecture and Development - Successfully completed the analysis including business requirements gathering and user workflow documentation , conceptual design and program development for new custom-designed database applications for a variety of organizations. Systems developed include index composition management, market data symbology , order entry, shipping, billing and control application, patient service request and medical technician dispatching, a placement agency candidates/position matching, database integrity checking and repair, and several system and end-user maintenance applications. Most of these applications resulted in improved business operations and reduced costs.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and assume responsibility for existing production applications, leading to improved application stability and enhancement. These applications often were in precarious condition without proper source code control, change control, technical documentation, etc. Immediately introduced various tools and procedures such as Visual SourceSafe, formal testing and production change control procedures, peer code review and walk-throughs, and development standards to improve application maintainability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Database schema design and implementation for mission-critical databases running under Visual FoxPro, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 , Oracle and Sybase SQL Server.

- Launched J.C.N. Associates, L.L.C. to provide clients with high-quality information technology consulting with specialization in database application design and development. Managed all aspects of the business including marketing, sales, staffing, analysis, design, development of applications, and on-going support.
- Directed and participated in the development of mission-critical applications for various clients in industries such as banking, finance, insurance, publishing, health care/health services, and others. These applications were developed using technologies such as Microsoft FoxPro and Visual FoxPro, FoxExpress both Visual and 2.7 , Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio .NET and several others. The applications provided functionality such as accounting, management profitability and financial reporting, profit and loss analysis, order processing control and medical technician dispatching and control. Organizations range from Fortune 100 companies to small- and medium-sized businesses.
- Responsibilities at several of these organizations included analysis, application development, and application support for preexisting production application and project management duties for several other consultants and employees.
