  • I was responsible for re-engineering the BILLSPAN Financial Management product to meet requirements defined by the Maryland and Minnesota Health Insurance Exchanges in compliance with the Federal Affordable Care Act.   • Successfully completed the PeopleSoft HCM/ELM upgrade ver. 8.8 to 9.1 for CareFirst 10/3/11 . This was a year-long effort working with the vendor BTRG that was selected during the RFP process. This was a year-long effort and program which defined the business and operational impacts of the Federal Regulations to CAREFIRST BCBS.   • I supported the core cost accounting application utilizing both Hyperion and ESSBASE DBMS in conjunction with INFORMATICA. The product was used to calculate internal costs by division and companies in order to properly chargeback and book costs by entity. The final accounting entries were also automated to the general ledger once the transactions were confirmed. The Hyperion solution included a reporting dashboard utilized by Finance to execute various financial reports. Successfully completed an upgrade to the server infrastructure along with newer versions of ESSBASE and Hyperion.
  • I also managed an off-shore support team Accenture Consulting co-supporting a core broker compensation application. Over a 3 year period, I was responsible for transitioning off-shore responsibilities to several CAREFIRST associates which saved over 400,000 in the support budget.
