Hundreds of reports and 'shadow databases' were documented with information as to metadata definitions, data sources and calculation formulas. At the Sarasota Florida County government, Marc designed and built a data warehouse for Enterprise Geographic Business Intelligence. In this multi-year project, all data linked with geospatial information from across dozens of county departments was integrated into a centrally accessible GIS using ESRI GIS products. Marc established Data Governance Best Practices for data standardization, metadata management, dataset updating and publishing, and data security. Extensive Data Governance activities were required to reach consensus for data standards and data sharing on such diverse data as fire hydrants, capital expenditures, property appraisals and neighborhood planning. Over 400 datasets were resolved, converted, and loaded into the central data warehouse for use by government officials and the public.

He designed the data quality and ETL sections of the project design documents, and led a team of five in profiling and processing quality customer data for use in the CDI/CRM application. Data Architect - State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement - Criminal History Database

Modernization of the state Criminal History database integrated with Biometric Fingerprint data for rapid identification of criminal subjects. The foundation build scaled to include other legacy criminal database systems. Working with the Department's subject matter experts, the rigorous and tightly controlled criminal data standards and metadata were derived and documented. Marc wrote the Conceptual Database Design, Logical Database Design and Implementation Plan as well as the Data Migration Plan.
