Medicaid Elevation Project:
The goal of this project is to separate Ohio JFS and establish a standalone agency Ohio Department of Medicaid . As a PM for this effort I worked on the enterprise application migration and the split of the Government Bureau into two distinct units. This required:
Identifying Applications and Services with appropriate resources and associated costs essential to Medicaid and compiling into a Service Catalog
Planning for and tracking the move of applications from the existing agency JFS infrastructure to the infrastructure required by the new agency
Documenting organizational cost of application ownership CAO across matrix organization
Defining application utilization, user base, administrative and data storage requirements
Providing application licensing information for transition to new Windows 7 image
Executing Medicaid Transformation project related requests, following a Client defined approval process
Managed stakeholders expectations by understanding their requirements and successfully implementing the project in phases/Waves
Preparing Medicaid Transformation program financials that detailed recommended budget for individual projects documented changes requests and modified individual project budgets as per client requests.
OMJ Updates:
This Project involves updating the multiple Ohio Means Jobs OMJ screens to maintain the organizational branding standards.
Managed all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle SDLC and executed the project using Project Management Life Cycle initiation, planning, execution, control and closing . Drafted Scope Statement, WBS, developed project schedule in Clarity. Used the Clarity Resource Repository module to allocate and assign resources. Monitored the progress of the project with the schedule built-in Clarity. Project was implemented in phases and supported post production implementation process that will initiate the next phase of the project.
LMI ERIC Extract Project:
Extract Labor Market Index data to update ERIC system and generate statistical reports.
As the PM, facilitated the Requirements gathering JAD Sessions involving Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts SME's from the business side. Work to be performed once the budget negotiations are completed. This project involves a minor architecture upgrade that imposes a high risk. Risk mitigation is in progress and the project will resume once technical solutions are identified.
Learn to Earn OL2E :
As the assigned PM, I drafted the scope statement, facilitated multiple JAD Sessions to collect requirements, worked with Development, Testing, External Vendor and the Production Support management for resource allocation and published the schedule. Also reviewed the schedule with the project stakeholders and created a baseline. Managed the project through the Project Management life cycle and followed the Organizational project management practices. Implemented the project on time, conducted lessons learned meeting with project team and updated the organizational project management knowledge base maintained In Clarity.
Scope of this project includes building Learn-To-Earn features to the Ohio Means Jobs application. This program provides a way to connect employers and potential employees by providing training for known job openings while still on unemployment benefits.
Production Support:
Managed multiple production support work sets developed and implemented on monthly release cycles. This is an ongoing project and involves work performed by various teams using the time-box approach. Scope definition, estimates for various activities, Testing Certifications wered and maintained in the Clarity repository. Facilitated work group meetings with the support staff of the organization and implemented the changes to the production with very minimum down-time of existing production application.
This project involves the execution of production support change requests generated by Program Area, County workers and business partners.
