I am currently managing the implementation of Microsoft RMS as it extends data security to Desktop and Mobile devices. The scope involves developing a Roadmap for securing data to Federal Reserve Desktop and Mobile users. We are in the middle of transitioning from Lotus Notes Domino to Microsoft Exchange. Sub-contracted to manage Confidential WAN Upgrade program. The primary goal is to develop a program to manage the WAN Infrastructure upgrade for UNICEF. UNICEF is rolling out a new accounting package in SAP/R3 that requires an upgrade to the global network. The WAN is to be optimized where necessary or upgraded to support the SAP/R3 application. This new application will also require an upgrade to the Citrix Server farm. Essentially this means standardizing and creating policy to manage IT resources and distant Field offices globally, analyzing bandwidth utilization data/site, and bring in Subject Matter Experts SME to recommend a proper site optimization package tailored/site. Presently there are approximately 300 offices globally.

Operations/Project Manager/Network Engineer
Confidential to build a state of the art Data Center. The build includes design and implement CAT5e cabling for 200 seats, design and build of all Data Center components, CCTV. Each seat to have 3 runs voice/data/spare and migrate users into the new space. This project involved assessing the feasibility for the entire project, creating an approved project plan, interview and hire all contractors, produce a Bill of Materials BOM , and manage and tract every aspect of the project, including accounting for every dollar spent. I was given a very ambitious timeline of six months to complete this project. The components of the Data Center were as follows: Cisco 6509 switch, Cisco 3500 XL switch, MDF dedicated to Voice/Data, AIX servers, VMware, SAN servers, Air Conditioning unit, Backup power generator using diesel fuel.

Contracted as a sub-contractor to upgrade the VPN/Firewall and the voice and data network for FLRA. This assignment includes an assessment of the production data network, upgrading all outdated network devices.

The responsibility of the Director of Infrastructure Services includes the oversight of IT operations and management of the various reporting departments that make up Infrastructure Services. As Operations Manager of AT T's two largest Co-location hosting facilities in Confidential, was part of the Program Management team that implemented and completed the newest state of the art Data Center and Hosting facility 120,000 sqft . The budget for this project was 50 M dollars. After completion, my responsibilities were to manage the daily operations of AT T's two largest Data Centers in the northeast. The day to day operations include making sure that all procedures are enforced and that every customer's server is backed up intermittently during the week and full backups on Saturday. We primarily used Arcserv. Managing operations also included managing Data Security. This Data Center had the best security technology that was available. Biometrics palm reading, real-time CCTV that is monitored 24x7. We hosted some notables like, Priceline.com, CBSMarketwatch.com, RealTV.com, MSNBC.com, and AOL.com.
