  • This past year, I was asked to focus solely on the Salesforce platform to increase lead generation. All Salesforce development initially was done by an off-shore team which caused among other issues delivery delays because of the different time zones between the developers and QA/UAT. To remedy this situation,I decided to:
  • As Capital One migrated off the above mentioned LOSin favor of Black Knight's Empower system,my responsibilities changed and I became an Agile Vertical Team Lead managing .net, Java andSalesforce developers. • Build an on-site Salesforce development teamwith Capital One Associates and local contractors. This change allowed us to decrease the number of developers needed and to increase our sprint velocity by 25 .
  • I also decreased defects by instilling peer reviews, coding standards and refining our release procedures.
  • To assist with the release management process, SnapShot, a tool from the Salesforce AppExchange, was purchased and installed. This tool now allows us to accurately migrate Salesforce components between sandboxes in addition to allowing us to compare sandboxes to make sure no components were missed in the migration.
  • Working with the Mortech vendor, we implemented a central Hub for lead aggregation. Currently we are receiving 'Lending Tree' leads and are now working to add 'Loan Explorer'.
  • Utilizing Salesforce mobile capabilities, enabling distributed Loan Officers the ability to capture leads during open house/realtor events.

Software Engineer

Hired as COBOL developer, I worked on numerous application systems for various divisions including credit cards, mortgage, home equity, customer service, commercial and consumer lending auto and unsecured lines of credit . During this time, I also received formal training on CICS development. As a Lead Developer, one of the more notable projects that I was assigned was the development of the MortgageVision System 1992 written using MicroFocus Workbench and Dialog System. This system was a mortgage lead capturing system developed to run on laptops used by Mortgage Loan Officers. This system allowed LO's to enter customer information, requested credit reports from CREDCO and once the lead was matured it was electronically sent to the mainframe for processing by the mortgage loan origination system utilizing mainframes RPCs. In general most of the development I performed was utilizing the IBM mainframe in the backend for processing while developing a front-end GUI utilizing APIs/RPCs to requests services from the mainframe.
