BI Delivery Consultant
Serve as senior business consultant for the Information management and analytics division where I help develop enterprise wide strategies for clients in regards to managing their data and how to increase its value. Completed a comprehensive analysis of ETL Processes, Data Architecture, Data Governance and Analytics efforts of HP’s Channel Sales Division. This is HP’s Hardware Sales Channel at a world wide scale. I worked as the team lead of three other consultants doing process, architecture, and data governance analysis and requirements definition work. The goal is to enable our Sales Channel teams to define and implement a robust and efficient network of data marts and warehouses. Defined Analytic Processes, Data Sources, Functional and Non-Functional requirements, Facts and Dimensions, and Business drivers which exist in our Sales Channel Business model. Documented and presented our findings and suggestions Senior managers and directors. We identified our Key Performance indicators and delivered them with conceptual Data Models. This enabled our sales teams to increase revenue, profitability, efficiency, as well as forecast ability.

Served as lead ETL and DW architect for Ontario Ministry of Health RFP. This was a 15 million dollar project. Designing and architecting solution for communicable disease Data Warehouse. Designing the data models and security models for new DW and Report Delivery system. I was tasked with designing the architecture for initial DW loads as well as incremental loads that will keep the application databases in sync with the DW. Documented the functional requirements and tied them into the data models. The need is to integrate the existing application data as well as a new application that is being developed to track disease, population, immunization, and provider information. Was in charge of design sessions, communicating with the Ministry with questions and issues, Estimated resources needed to complete the effort, and estimating the hardware needed to support the solution. Lead a team of other architects to develop the complete BI solution including Information Delivery, Analytics, and Governance.

Conversion team lead and Project manager for New Jersey CASS (Assistance Eligibility system) project leading a team of 9 developers and 2 Business Analysts. Performed process analysis and re-engineering to improve efficiency and costs. Removed dependency on a third party tool saving project over $100,000.00. Managed defect resolution process, driving team to make these a priority by adding estimates and deadlines and holding bi weekly meetings to go over progress and issues. Developed an automated process that will save the team over 100 hours of future manual work. Developed an onboarding document to help make new employees productive within first two days of being on the project. Drove team to break out tasks not on the project plan and get estimates and set deadlines in a more detailed and manageable manner. Managed Change request process to manage scope and determine estimates for completion of the work. Modified the existing 9,000 line Conversion project plan to remove redundant effort and define processes to client satisfaction. The resulting plan was consolidated into less than 3200 tasks making it much easier to report accurate status updates and identify issues earlier.

Process improvement engineer
Developed and re-engineered several processes for a Reporting Delivery Group Supporting xpedx in Cincinnati Ohio. To better support their client and to develop a robust and high quality delivery system, I was asked to review their processes, redesign the ones that were flawed or inefficient, create new ones where needed, and document the processes at a detailed level. This included developing a configuration management plan and implementing version control software, Creating a “One stop” Onboarding document for new hires, creating a “Best Practices” guide for developing Crystal Reports, and developing process guides for creating/modifying reports. I also integrated a new test/QA environment to help resolve issues found by the client while reports are still under development. I led Process review sessions with team leadership and identified issues and resolutions. I also filled in on a few report modifications during my assignment. I am currently completing this assignment. I attempted to implement CMMI methodology and some form of it is still being used by the client today.
