Oversee new plant staffing, maintenance program development (including preventive and predictive maintenance), spare parts procurement, and budget development for maintenance and repair of the plant's facilities and equipment. Responsible for all activities related to Maintenance Manual updates, Safety and Reliability programs, and compliance requirements.Project Management implementation of maintenance management software.   • Confidential - 80 MW natural gas fired peaking facility based on 2 GE LM6000 PC Sprint aeroderivative engines located in Lordsburg, New Mexico.
  • Confidential - 49 MW natural gas fired cogeneration facility based on a GE LM5000 combustion turbine located in Ripon, California.

Plant Manager, Confidential, 1982-2006. Responsible for two new simple cycle gas turbine plants in Southern New Mexico: Afton Generating Station (141 MW GE 7FA) and Lordsburg Generating station (two 40 MW LM6000s). Provided leadership, supervision, and administration; management of scheduled outages, predictive maintenance, quality control, ground-up development of operations and maintenance, and construction project management support. Operations and maintenance of the two facilities in a challenging peaking operation with minimal staffing. Developed plant programs to obtain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Registration Certification.

Responsible for Outage Planning and Project Management for minor and major overhaul projects for all four units of the 1,800 MW San Juan Generating Station. Responsible for ash handling systems, machine shop, fleet management, heavy equipment operators, certified welding crews, HVAC, fire protection, turbine controls, protective relays and continuous emissions monitoring, and buildings and grounds maintenance. Supervised Craft Supervisors for instrumentation, electrical and mechanical maintenance crews for all areas. Performed all management functions for these areas.

Craft Supervisor, Public Service of New Mexico.Craft Supervisor responsible for mechanical crews for Unit 1 of the San Juan Station from the turbine to precipitators. Daily duties included planning and scheduling, work execution, and coordinating contractors for projects. Extensive management of union and non-union workforce.

Quality Control Lead Planner, Public Service of New Mexico.Assured compliance with industry codes and plant procedures; implemented boiler tube failure tracking; qualified and tested certified welders, inspected contractor work; performed plant-wide outage inspections of the San Juan Station.

Outage Planner/Project Manager, Public Service of New Mexico.Planned, scheduled, and implemented planned major and minor outage projects; coordinated and supervised all aspects of steam turbines major outages (blade repair replacements, generator field rewinds, retaining ring replacements) and boiler outages (repair, tube projects, and chemical cleaning) for the San Juan Station.

Mechanic, Public Service of New Mexico. Performed Journeyman mechanic duties in SO2 recovery chemical plant and in all plant areas, pump overhauls, alignment, troubleshooting, and welding for the San Juan Station. Performed emergency call-out work.
