• The Android Pay / Confidential Pay/ Samsung Pay projects was aimed at delivering the ability for Confidential members to use their compatible mobile devices (Samsung S6 Edge Plus, S7 and Android 4.4+ and above, Confidential 6S and above) to make secure contactless payment with a very similar experience to Confidential Pay.
• The solution was undertaken to extend the Visa Europe Token Service which manages the payment aspects of Confidential Pay and was an extension of Confidential ’s existing mobile device payment capability.Testing was conducted in an integrated environment comprising of CARDMS, Base 24, SAP Banking Services Deposit Management, PRM, and Payments DB, Statements.
• The visa tests were stimulated through VTS.
• This functionality enables customers to add their Debit/Credit cards in Android Pay application in any qualified Android device.
• Post provisioning of debit/credit card, customer can make In Store and In App payments

• Contactless is a new feature being introduced on payment cards (debit, credit and pre-paid) in the UK to make purchases quicker and more convenient for both retailers and consumers for high volume, low value purchase amounts as an alternate to cash payments and Chip & PIN card payment.
• The term Contactless refers to the fact that the card does not need to physically contact the reader.
• The information required for the transaction is transmitted from an antenna found in the Contactless card using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology.
• When making payments of a low value (the current maximum limit is set at £20 per transaction) the card issuer and merchant can enforce rules to influence when a payment can be Contactless.
• Risk based approach was followed for the project.Testing was conducted in an integrated environment comprising of CARDMS, Base 24, SAP Banking Services Deposit Management, PRM, and Payments DB. The visa tests were stimulated through VTS.
• This functionality enables customers to opt in or opt out of contactless functionality. Customers can make this decision through OLB or through branch support (Nucleus application)
• Confidential introduced Bulk scripting parameters to manage the transaction parameters in the BIN level.
• The card level scripting handles the transaction parameters at the card level. This is used to validate when the card needs to go online for the contactless transactions.
