- Run time for Proport was decreased by 60% by using cyclical proport which process data in parallel.
- Worksheet performance was improved by worksheet layout re-engineering, optimization of system parameters and utilizing functionality like caching.
- Custom chaining programs were created to ease the load on planners
- Several custom codes were re-written and run time was decreased by 50-80%. Programs were re-written to use Oracle package dbms jobs in order to process data in parallel at partition level.
- Run time for a custom workflow consisting of BLE steps was decreased from 5.5 hrs. to 3.5 by parallelization introduced through container step, and finally to 30-45 mins.
- Distributed forecast engine registered on 7 Linux box was stabilized by tuning weblogic parameters (“out of memory” errors), DB parameters and by optimizing Demantra parameters like Branch multiple, number of CPUs, Bulk load threshold etc.
