Responsibilities:

  • Project manager for implementing a Project Management Office (PMO) for a Confidential customer, Lansing Board of Water and Light (LBWL) for their IT department.
  • LBWL is a utility company that is part of the City of Lansing. The customer does not have processes or procedures that they follow and I am the lead PM for implementation.
  • We have also put out for bid for a PM tool that would be a best fit for the customer.
  • Mentoring PM’s is also my responsibility as the customers that are taking care of projects and not familiar with PM methodology.

  • Project manager for several projects within the SAP environment at VWGoA. The projects include:
  • SAP Business Objects 4.1 for accuracy and automation for updates to queries and reports to verify the quality and the accuracy of the car parts being shipped from VWGoA Parts Distribution Centers (PDC) to the dealers as well as from PDC to PDC.
  • Added a new PDC in Sacramento, CA as an active center in the SAP system. The system needs to be able to order parts, ship to and ship from the new PDC. Worked with facilities management team on the internal construction of the PDC.
  • Audi Care Maintenance Contract (ACMS). Audi dealerships offer additional maintenance contracts for their customers to purchase that the warranty plan does not cover. This project is a user interface upgrade for corporate and dealership users. 
  • Dealerships want to assist their customers quickly when they enter the store to purchase a vehicle. Using an iPad to assist the salesperson and the customer will allow the process to quickly view the inventory, look up and existing VIN or build the vehicle with the options they want. This project is the 1st to provide mobility in selling VW products in the dealerships.
  • WebSphere Portal - Audi and VW in U.S. and Canada. This application is used for communicating information between the corporation and the dealerships. It was enhanced to provide better communication, commonality between U.S and Canada and better user interface.

  • Launch planning project manager for Ford’s Global One Warranty Solution. This is a program with many projects. Main responsibility was for the project plan to deploy the new system in North America and Europe.
  • Ford has 5 different warranty systems at their dealerships globally and is consolidating the warranty system into 1 system. Worked closely with the developers as they are in the design and build phase of the system. They are using a COTS system called Pega 7.
  • Not all COTS system interface with legacy systems, so Java code is being written to interface with the legacy systems.
  • Developing an Agile work plan for launching of Ford's One Warranty Solution in North America for the first phase and globally of a successful North American launch.
  • Also responsible for developing and delivering the configuration management plan for the Ford Warranty launch project. Provided training to all the new members on the team on how the new desktop service would be performed. Planned, followed and maintained the travel budget for new hires that were being brought onto the new project for training.

  • System support and project manager for engineers at the Flint Engineering Development Center for a variety of manufacturing systems that monitored defects on the vehicle assembly line.
  • Responsible for project management activities following the EDS project management methodology, CMM Level III efforts, customer interface, tracking and oversight of 5 developers, and updating and monitoring the project plan and recording monthly metrics. Was also part of EDS transition team to migrate source code from MS Visual Source Safe to PVCS Dimensions.
  • Developer and tested on GM's Global Product Description System called Engineering Work Orders (EWO) which was developed in Visual Basic 5.0. This was a system was used by GM engineers for tracking Engineering Work Orders.
  • Tested data downloads from mainframe systems to convert into an MS Access database for Y2K projects.
  • Developed new front-end application screens in Visual Basic .5.0 to provide GM engineers with a system that was used as a quality tool tracking possible concerns while the vehicle is being built. This was also a Y2K project that needed to be updated and the project budget was approximately $500,000 project budget that I was responsible for. Used MS Visual Source for the source code repository.
  • Quality Assurance tester for several GM development/enhancement projects. Development, UAT testing, and team lead for test case development.
