I am NIMS certified and have expertise in a disaster setting; being a key member of the team that implemented GIS for the largest ecological disaster in US History- the Deepwater Horizon Disaster in Louisiana. I possess visible strengths in analyzing, evaluating, and documenting business processes and a visionary when it comes to intelligently integrating GIS technology into business workflows.
  • I am also an excellent technical writer and for the past few years has been writing and blogging for Point Of Beginning Magazine. In January 2012, I was added to BNP Media’s newest site geodatapoint.com and join the spotlight with other expert contributors.
  • Currently, I am the Program Director for The GIS Institute and represented them at the ESRI’s 2012 User Conference.
  • Also, for the past few months I have been working with WayPoint Mapping on an Amazon Cloud GIS project for a right of way acquisition company based in Texas. In addition, I am consulting in the health care industry with Florida based Providian and AmeriSys a managed care company on an EDI project.
  • Recently I consulted at CSX, a Fortune 250 company - developing a Strategic Plan that will become the roadmap for sustaining an enterprise GIS at the largest railroad in the eastern United States. I also served as the Quality Assurance Manager at CSX on the PTC project, introducing and leading the effort of incorporating ESRI’s Data Reviewer product into the CSX Data workflow.

At CSX I was assigned the responsibility of researching and developing a target end state for the enterprise GIS at CSX. Another task was to prepare a catalog of data and services. I developed a key presentation consumable by both business and technology audiences to promote the enterprise vision of GIS. As Quality Assurance Manager my mission was to define, diagram and maintain a reliable and effective quality assurance program and maintain and audit work according to standard and uniform practices approved for CSX (PTC) Positive Train Control initiative.

Confidential, Louisiana Team Leader Database Design ,Server Administration (April ,May 2010) Responsible for leading the database ,server administration team comprising of Smoke Jumper GIS Specialists and ESRI’s staff in development and design of an Enterprise GIS (ArcServer, SDE, ArcGIS 10) in an Emergency Response Capacity for the GIS Unit at the Houma, LA (ICP) Incident Command Post. Responsible for the development and analysis of GIS maps identifying super voters, for political candidates. Strategy maps were developed showing super voters and gave an overview of the areas that were heavily populated with super voters. Walking maps were also produced that allowed the candidate to identify each voter by their voting history on their walk around in areas developed identified on the Strategy Maps.
