Description: The Narita Irregular Operations (NRT IRROPs) project meets the need to inform passengers and agents of flight cancellations for Pacific Division departures. For passengers that are automatically rebooked via Automated Flight Rebooking (AFR), modifications to the domestic notification process will support cancellations out of the Pacific Division. For passengers not automatically rebooked, the reservation automation team will create a new process so that passenger name records (PNRs) can be manually rebooked.
For both types of rebooking, passengers and agents will be notified via voice, e-mail, or text message. NWA has partnered with West Corporation to deliver the notifications via a new Outbound Notification (OBN) system. The OBN will send all the required information to West to notify passengers and agents.
Changes to the My_NWA_Info site will be made in order to allow the passengers to enter their preference for contact channel, language, and hours for contact. The vendor, West, will send responses to the OBN with the status of the notification. The OBN will then update the PNR with the contact status.
