Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and run all QA and Production UFT scripts for the EPS portals. Where possible, the scripts utilize external/shared VB functions across QA and Production scripts, embedded datatables and HP’s UFT object repository.
  • Established high-water run rates for production and DA load testing. Developed SSIS packages to parse and load key attributes from over 2000 IIS, application and reporting logs. Run rates were established per application/webservice by hour.
  • Implemented a security reporting process that reports on all users with access to any of our 140+ non-production servers. The report utilizes an SSIS solution, that scans all the servers in less than 15 minutes. The SSRS reports provide external auditors with a concise security report which meets audit requirements.
  • Run and maintain Visual Studio 2015 Performance Tests. Initially consolidated multiple versions of the load/web tests into one TFS repository. The tests are run and the results compared to ensure our fail over systems meet or exceed the performance levels of production.
  • Updated all UFT portal scripts to use a shared login routine. Previously, all the scripts used the same but slightly “different” logic to handle logins. The common login routine keeps all ID’s and passwords in one location and simplifies maintenance.
  • Developed an SSIS/SSRS solution to scan and report on the patch status of over 140 Microsoft systems dispersed around the country. The ETL process is hosted on a SQL 2014 Server. A SQL agent job tracks the start and end of each system’s scan and then loads the information via SSIS and produces consolidated security reports via SSRS.
