Project: Flight Pass
Flight Pass API is an interface that provides third party to create, manage, search and utilize flight passes to book a flight. Flight pass is a prepaid package of electronic one-way flight credits used for travel within a selected geographic zone during a specific period.
This Application is used for Travel Domain. HCL is providing production support to Air Canada for its web-based application, which was developed by IBM. Air Canada offers Flight Passes to its frequent fliers/Travel agents providing the convenience to self-manage travel online, either in the form of pre-purchased banks of one-way flight credits or fixed monthly subscription rates that provide for unlimited flights. In this process we make use of GDS to retrieve the information and for the further processing. GDS provides XML interface through which it can send and receive the requests in GDS specific XML’s. Starting from authenticating a user who has logged in till he books a flight we provide him different options to view different destinations for example to modify his itinerary, to cancel are some of them. Corporate Management is also a part of Flight Pass Management in which we assign some employees to a flight pass and to assign some corporations to a flight pass.
