The Individual Book of Record (IBOR) project collects information from computing systems throughout Cigna’s business units to provide a consolidated view of an Individual’s information. A vendor purchase software package called the Initiate Hub (Registry) takes records pertaining to individuals within the source systems and links that person across their various CIGNA sources. Additional information, not related to linking records together, such as coverage and contact preferences will be stored in an operational data store or ODS. The primary business driver behind the project is to enable the ability to have consolidated view of an Individual’s information efficiently.
