These studies include all phases of clinical trials for blinded and unblinded treatments. The subjects are registered using phone through an application called Icophone.

Project 1: Silver Tag
This project was a bidding website, similar to EBay. It is the lowest unique bid auction site with about 200K active users.
The site included both admin and customer facing sections. Admin section included managing users, auctions, cheat prevention etc.
Customer facing section included auction list under various categories, bidding, awarding bonus etc

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical design documents, coding standards to offshore development team. Get software code from offshore team based on technical design. Write test scripts for manual testing.
  • Testing and suggestions on improvement of the forms appearance.
  • Manage project delivery schedule.

Project 2: Quoting Tool
Quoting tool is a structured settlement quote comparison tool. The tool consists of customer facing access protected request for quote form. All mandatory and optional information is entered to generate and compare quotes. On submitting quote request it is picked up by waiting quoting engine that executes quoting software one after another provided by insurance companies and generates quotes. The background consists of intelligent screen and report capture and generates a comparative report. The tool has reduced 16 hours of manual work to 4 minutes.
The application generates reports that are stored in a custom document management system from where the users requesting quote can download/view the comparative reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Create test scripts to test the various scenarios generating quotes and comparative report.
  • Report bugs to development team. Generate training document for end user clients to use quoting tool by various structure settlement agents around United States.

Project 3: Casebook 
Casebook is a full fledged social networking site for lawyers. Apart from common social networking features the main feature of the site allows for uploading and sharing documents by lawyers. E.g. Plaintiff lawyers can upload and share depositions. Uploaded document are indexed and are searchable. The site has an elaborate admin and customer facing sections.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate development of the casebook web application with offshore development team.
  • Generate test scripts to test social networking features with focus on privacy of user information.

Jan 2000 – April 2004 
1) Project Leader – Confidential, NJ, USA 
Confidential is one of the leading Magazines publishing company in New Jersey, USA

Project: AIS (Advertisement Information System)
This system consisted of master maintenance of Magazines (like Good Housekeeping, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, etc.), Advertisers, Sales Representatives, Issues, Code values of advertisements, etc. The system collected all the information to place the order of the advertisement and accordingly the order was priced. Other modules were Adjustments, Re-Pricing, Issue Closing, Invoice Closing, etc. Pricing was the major and complicated module in this system. A class was created which took all the parameters necessary and then the calculations were performed.
Crystal Reports was used to generate reports. My responsibility as a leader also included scheduling the module testing and GUI testing to the testing team. Proper documentation of Test plans and Program Specifications were maintained. Also made an outline of a Context-sensitive help design for the completed modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Lead in architecture of designing the modules.
  • Involved in offshore product development management by scheduling and monitoring the application module.
  • Handled entire manual testing of the project. Designed test plans & document Unit, Functional Test Cases for the Application module.

Project: Report generation & Billing system 
The application generated summarized and detailed reports about Blood, Urine, Hemoglobin, and Sonography, X-ray tests. Oracle 7.1 used for handling data. VB 6.0 used for designing data entry screens and Crystal Reports for generation and printing of the various reports. Stored procedures and functions were used for standard calculations.

Responsibilities:

  • Worked as a Senior Programmer in architecture of designing the Oracle 7.3 database.
  • Lead a Team comprising of 6 members to design and develop the front-end application using VB 6.0.
  • Extensive client interactions to establish system requirements and help plan and schedule resources. The whole project process was well documented / presented using MS Excel / MS Word, which includes planning, scheduling & assigning the tasks, test cases in support and development.
