As Manager of Software Development chose software development tools to be used, researched and created system design and detailed software specs, and supervised software development team using PROGSPEC, IMAGE and VIEW to create business applications on a HP3000. Project involved replacing AS400's in regional offices with HP3000s and converting data entry functions to new hardware. Data entry software could not be converted and was not documented, so I had to gain an understanding of existing data entry functions (AP, AR and General Ledger), and then generate detailed specs for new software which had to be developed.
As Manager of Technical Services coordinated construction of ten remote computer rooms and hardware installs, developed and enforced operational standards and procedures, and performed on-site training of operators and users at remote sites.
