PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Confidential,Raleigh, NC 2006 – 2009

Senior QA Testing Analyst

Became full-time RBC Centura employee after six months as Ajilon contractor assigned to RBC Centura. Supported QA testing in multiple test environments for up to five simultaneous projects including routine maintenance, application upgrades, new application installations, and incorporation of new data as RBC acquired multiple American banks.

  • Developed more than two-dozen ISPF dialogs to automate difficult tasks, including verification of more than 7000 files needed for testing 35 major applications. All files were successfully copied from production environment to the testing environment.
  • Created ADRDSSU JCL to backup and restore application files. With insufficient DASD to maintain full sets of test data for each project’s set of applications, used jobs to back up and restore each project’s group of application files needed to process test cycles for any given project to load fresh copies of production data, or to make DASD available for another project’s application files in order to run test cycles for that project group.
  • During first 90 days, selected as member of Division’s Team of the Quarter.

Product Support Specialist Administered key in-house and OEM system products for code management, report management, batch job scheduling, JCL validation, creation of and support of FTP processes within Disney and with external clients.
  • Performed production code turnovers using CA-PanAPT.

Confidential,continued)

  • Administered and upgraded CA-PanAPT product.
  • Administered report distribution using ViewDirect / DocumentDirect (InfoPac), maintaining over 800,000 report instances. Added and deleted users to ViewDirect and to a ViewDirect RACF group. Maintained report definitions, report distribution, and maintenance jobs, including vendor SAS routines for internal statistics.
  • Developed ISPF dialogs to add new users to ViewDirect. These dialogs verified user data, created RACF ids for new users in the ViewDirect RACF group, and generated RACF passwords via a random password generator. These dialogs used z/OS SMTP services to email to new users Word-format ViewDirect documentation stored on the mainframe. Reduced average time required to create new user accounts from 30 minutes to less than 5.
  • Administered and upgraded CA-View (SAR) sysout manager on multiple LPARs for Disney and ABC.
  • Created and maintained TSO REXX execs and CLISTs, ISPF functions, and ISPF dialogs supporting CA-PanAPT, ViewDirect, CA-View, and CA-7 scheduling.
  • Developed alternative ISPF interfaces to RACF, HSM, CA-Librarian, and CA-7 that were more user friendly and incorporated greater functionality than vendor supplied ISPF interfaces.
  • Set-up, scheduled, maintained, and supported 24 X 7 FTPs between all Disney internal platforms, including Sun and HP-Unix, all flavors of Windows, IBM AS/400’s, multiple z/OS images, and multiple Unisys platforms. This also included support of FTPs to and from external providers.
