Relevant Projects

Communication Network Analysis and Design

Network Protocol Analysis using Wireshark

Performed queue sizing, delay and average traffic simulation using the Wireshark tool. Also calculated the expected traffic, queuing delay based on network parameters. Calculation model used a fixed service time model. Maximum and minimum queue sizes along with delay were also calculated as a part of the project. Stability analysis was performed based on the graphs generated using the Wireshark tool. Service rate calculations were also done on the system. Simulations were run with variable and constant inter arrival rate models. Packet capacity vs Overflows per minute scenarios were also simulated using the software.

Minimum Spanning Tree (Kruskal Algorithm)

Implemented Kruskal\'s algorithm using java programming to generate a Minimum Spanning tree for undirected weighted graphs. Program calculated the MST, nodes, distance between the nodes and generated the MST.

Network Design software ( Delite)

Performed cost and topology analysis for various tree networks using algorithms such as Sharma,Esau Williams,Prim Dijkstra .The network cost ,average number of hops ,line speed and maximum utilization was also calculated as part of the project.Delay analysis was performed using the Delite tool.

Capacitated Minimum Spanning Tree (CMST)

CMST nodal analysis was also performed as a part of the project. Traffic was simulated on the CMST originating from a central node .Various network topologies with variable nodes per branch were generated using the Delite tool and network cost was calculated. Also maximum utilization test was performed along with delay analysis. Some of the parameters that were tested (Average Link delay, Average node delay, Traffic saturation, Average number of hops).

Papers

Principles of Network Security (Kerberos Authentication Service)

The course involved learning about secure networking systems, firewalls, network topology and security protocols, recognizing network security threats and recommending countermeasures. Worked on a whitepaper detailing Kerberos authentication service .The paper dealt with Kerberos operation, cross authentication, security best practices, vulnerabilities .It also dealt with various Kerberos implementations, interoperability and tools.
