FDMS offers a full range of processing services to its clients – financial institutions, independent sales organizations, transaction capture statements, charge back handling reconciliation, reporting, prepaid card issuance and acceptance, internet based transaction and processing etc. When a merchant wants to accept credit cards issued by various banks, he approaches one of the merchants processing companies such as FDMS. When a merchant holds an account with FDMS, for each transaction processed by the merchants through credit cards, FDMS acquires slips from the merchant and in turn pays him the total amount of the slips. Depending on the type of the card used for the transactions, these slips are then sent by FDMS to Credit Card agencies like Master, Visa, and Amex etc. These companies then identify the individual banks, which issued the card and send the slips to the various banks. The bank then pays the company, which in turn pays FDMS. Subsequently, the banks charge the cardholder.
