The goal was to create a more complex, more stable web application that would support the ordering process for individual products including integration with a warehouse and customer service backend. During this time, the team also refactored much of the original system used to support a subscription model of ordering. • Following an Agile methodology for development, participate in daily scrum meetings, planning sessions, story documentation, review, and estimating. Various approaches are used for testing based on factors such as complexity, risk, and regression requirements. This includes exploratory and ad hoc testing as well as traditional test planning test design, test script, and test case development that is then followed by traditional structured testing. The exploratory testing process includes post-testing analysis that results in an output of critical test documentation as deemed necessary by the analyst. This reduces impact to test assets and reduces the test maintenance time often required when trying to adapt a traditional QA process to a changing, Agile environment. Automation is performed using a test driven development approach with cucumber for Ruby on Rails.
