• Confidential is a Confidential application used by Sales Marketing workforce it takes data from a number of enterprise source systems SAP, Casement, OPMIS , consolidates this data and then publishes it to users through Microsoft Outlook.
• Confidential runs on client-server architecture. On the client side, the application runs on user's laptop alongside Oracle lite database. On the server side the application interacts with Oracle 9i database. This project involves a migration lifecycle. As a part of migration, Confidential is being migrated to SQL 2000 on the server side and MSDE on the client side in the new architecture.
• To improve the performance the application will employ Microsoft Merge Replication to synchronize the client and server databases. XML generation that resided on the Oracle 9i server is being relocated to the client side. The new Confidential system supports Unicode as the application is to be deployed globally across client locations.
