Programmer/Analyst Contractor

  • Duties include building, validation, test case author, and implementation of the SoftGene product suite (SCC SoftLab). Includes Molecular, Cytogenetics, Flow Cytometry, Biochemistry, and Pathology.

Programmer/Analyst III

  • In 2009, I transferred to the LIS department, where I oversaw the Blood Bank LIS (Wyndgate) upgrade and software revalidation. Afterwards, I was responsible for the ongoing maintenance and day to day function for Wyndgate and the downstream interfaces.
  • My current role is General Lab Programmer/Analyst III, my duties include maintenance, upgrade, validation, SOP writing, change requests and ultimately to assure proper function of our current LIS system SoftLab.
  • Over the past 2 years I have specialized in HIS (EPIC) and instrument interfacing to the LIS, I am fluent in HL7, and can read interface traces with relative ease, my strength is in troubleshooting interface errors.
  • In my current position I routinely work with the following middleware systems/applications:
  • Soft SCC; Epic Enterprise; Data Innovations; MolisWAM; Telcor; Rapidcomm; Corepoint interface engine.
  • Recently in charge of migration from legacy LIS (CCA) to our new LIS Soft SCC. Being able to translate and/or improve old workflows and processes to Soft SCC.
