The EAI Adapter in real-time will pickup each eMDR 3500A XML files and transport them to the BSC Gateway. The BSC Gateway sends the eMDR 3500A XML files to the FDA Gateway using a secure digital certificate. The digital certificate identifies submissions from Boston Scientific. After the submission is received at the FDA, three acknowledgements are sent. These acknowledgements are transferred into the secure shared directory via the BSC Gateway and EAI Adapter. The eMDR utility links all acknowledgements together, imports all three acknowledgements into GCS2 and associates them with the applicable MDR record.
