Service Change work orders are required when a customer needs to make a change to their existing services. Service changes that include adding features, such as call waiting, are completed in the “switch” and there is no need to send a technician to the house. Other service changes, such as adding an additional line or jack, will require sending a technician to do the installation. Customers may decide to change services for many reasons.
The account changes that may occur on a customer’s account include:
- Upgrade of service(s): This is when a customer adds telephony features or other services to their existing services. This can include features as well as additional lines and jacks. A service upgrade also includes adding calling cards, changing directory listing instructions, adding hunt groups and adding call plans.
- Downgrade of service(s): This is when a customer removes telephony features or other services from their existing services. Downgrade service also includes removing callings cards, removing call plans, and disconnecting jacks and lines.
- Change of existing service(s): This is when a customer replaces service with a service of equal value.
Cox Business Online Backup (CBOB) is a service that delivers a secure, secondary level of data backup. Data is backed up from a primary source such as a PC. Integral to the broader Cox Business Internet offering, introductory service levels of Online Storage will be a featured component of the CBI bundle marketed to the SMB community.
The Online Backup product will be sold as two options: subscription based or stand alone service where greater blocks of backup and file storage capacity measured in bytes, will drive incremental revenue from the existing base of bandwidth only subscribers and newly bundled subscribers requiring additional backup and file storage capacity to expand the service throughout their organization.
The system allows each end user to send an invitation to download designated files, including very large files, to other end users at large - without having to grant each end user access to the secure drive. Strong administrative to CBOB empower end users to manage data restore, drive segmentation, user access levels, and read/write permissions from anywhere, anytime.
MyAccount will be the interface end users use to manage their online backup. End user will be able to activate their online backup account through MyAccount. Therefore, end users will have to have an active profile MyAccount in order to participate in the CBOB offer. MyAdmin will be used by CSRs to assist end user who may need help.
In MyAccount, the Profile Admin will be able to allocate storage to other end users associated to their profile. They will be able to view usage, available storage and other backup statistics. All end users will have the ability to share files with others outside the MyAccount system
