Project: CAF (Chase Auto finance) IVR application
Role: QA Analyst

Retail Financial Services Application - ECCS IVR QA Group supporting IVR applications will participate in the IST testing events for IVR CAF Rewrite project. This includes but is not limited to the infrastructure implemented to facilitate information sharing, track and report progress, manage change and monitor project performance. The Test Plan that will be utilized to execute functional tests will include the following applications:

  • Tests conducted in a self-contained environment constructed to isolate the IVR application from shared environmental resources such as network bandwidth, firewalls and legacy systems. This testing effort will make use of the developer’s simulator capability which will “stub out” or simulate backend capability for different transactions in IVR application. After the individual transactions are verified in Standalone testing, then the individual transactions will be verified in End-to-End testing environment with “real” back-end systems, such as RSI services that supports the different transactions.
  • End to End Testing - IST will identify whether the application interfaces behave in a manner consistent with expected user test criteria. This includes Middleware functions to back end systems such, call routing with attached data in Webphone, data transfer to Webphone, screen-pop to CA, and ACR information to Webstats. This testing effort will make use of the “cycle testing” schedule, to verify backend functionality such as, payments, payoffs, statement processing, etc.
  • IVR Application Level Testing - Assess IVR application code integrity through business functional performance (as opposed to environmental performance such as network latency, backend application response time, etc.) based on the user requirements. Whereas, End to End testing is focused on validating the communications between IVR and Back End systems, the IVR application level testing is focused on validating the IVR application, such as message prompts playing correctly, any calculations or processing in IVR, correct payment date processing, etc.

Different applications we used for testing call flows.

  • IVR Interactive Voice Response Unit
  • Genesys Call Routing
  • Webphone Attached data based on Key Value Pairs
  • Webstats Reports based on different variables such as: Script Location ID’s, event codes, etc. (call logs)

Project: MERCK VACCINES MODIFY ACCOUNT
Role: Test Engineer

The purpose of Merck Vaccines Modify Account project is to provide ability to Merck Vaccines customers to submit a request to modify their current account information, such as Billing Address, Shipping Address, etc. Providing the web as a way to submit these change requests, saves time and is more customer friendly, especially given the ability to let the customers electronically sign their online request, instead of the current process that involves a PDF download, print, complete and fax.

From Order Management Centre perspective New Account Team, the same benefits are provided to them for this project as were done with Online Account Application, including: data on requests will be complete, changes will be typed, not handwritten so they will be eligible to read, there will be no paper trail of faxes to track down and finally they will be able to process account update requests quicker by having the data come in electronically.
