Velocity Partners Consulting
Architected and developed a multifaceted time card entry system that is adaptable and flexible to allow time entries of city government employees working very complicated work schedules. The system includes modules to interface with the GEMS Harris Computer Systems payroll accounting system, a reporting services module, various special requirements modules, and administration modules. I'm presently working on a SharePoint 2010 version that will add additional functionality and will enhanced user experience even more. Also, during this time frame I developed a customized Geographic Information System GIS using the .Net Framework and the Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. ESRI ADF Framework. This application provides detailed layers of graphically related and graphically presented information for public works engineers, local police departments, and other city officials. On a separate project, I also designed and configured a SharePoint 2007 Office system web site to replace an aging internal web site. This site provides much better collaboration information sharing between departmental shifts and internal agencies. This site also provides document warehousing, versioning control, policy enforcement, electronic forms provisioning, intelligence gathering, and a host of other crucially needed functions previously impossible.
New Resources Consulting
Designed architecture, and lead development efforts on a host of client projects including site upgrades, application solutions, migration services and full scale portal solutions using a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server MOSS 2007 environment. One conversion involved the re-architecture, upgrade, and site migration of a legacy SharePoint Portal 2001 to a Microsoft Office server 2007 along with associated custom applications and data migration from a jet blue database Web Storage System-based to SQL Server 2000. Along with the data migration, sites migration, and other upgrades, several SharePoint based custom applications had to be re-engineered and re-coded to work with the new MOSS architecture. One of these applications was a Human Skills Capital Management System application the other a Human Resources application. For a Wells Fargo engagement, I converted an unpopular SharePoint application which relied solely on out of the box document management capabilities into a well received forms based application. This new application used InfoPath forms in conjunction with the previous Libraries to initiate and track Request For Proposal RFP Request For Information RFI forms and support documentation. This new application also included workflows to send emails as well as taking other actions based on an RFP's status. On a separate project a business score card application was simultaneously created while upgrading the clients SharePoint Portal from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007. This application was seamlessly incorporated into the new SharePoint Server, using InfoPath forms services to provide the score card data inputs either remotely using electronic pads, or locally using standard PCs . Microsoft SharePoint Office Server hosted this application which incorporated a specialized dashboard to aggregate scorecard data, show associated business KPIs, and provide timely reporting services using web parts fed from Microsoft Reporting Services Applications.
