Quality Assurance Manager

  • Lead the Crime Laboratory in the 2007 ASCLD/LAB reaccreditation. Currently monitors and oversees this program to assure continued accreditation. Additional duties include processing Crime Scenes including Bloodstain Pattern Analysis. Processed over 100 Crime Scenes and testified in over 75 criminal cases.
  • Laboratory Supervisor I. Designed and implemented a lab wide Quality Assurance program that resulted in ASCLD/LAB accreditation.
  • Chemist III. Supervised Toxicology Section consisting of five chemists and analyzing over 3000 cases per year in conjunction with the State Medical Examiner's Office to help determine cause of death. Supervised the Controlled Substances Identification Section. Appointed Quality Assurance Manager in 1995.
  • Chemist II. Toxicology and Controlled Substances Identification Chemist. Separation, identification and quantization of drugs and toxins from toxicology samples and contraband. Responsibilities include: methods development, training chemists, supervising chemists and testifying as an expert witness.
  • Adjunct Science Professor at U of MA at Boston, Babson College, Boston University, Curry College, and Simmons College. Courses taught include: Forensic Science, Chemistry, Drug Identification and Astronomy.

Instrumental Experience include: GC-with FID, ECD, NP, and MS detectors, IR, FTIR, UV/ VIS spectrophotometer, RIA, ELISA, EMIT, HP/LC, and LC/MS/MS.
