Return engagement to add QTP 11.0 test scripts to cover the new features of the web based 401(K) applicant and sponsor administration web sites. The QTP scripts are responsible for testing transactions as well as the displayed text which vary between different types of plans. The automation scripts are a hybrid of object repository, descriptive, data driven, action, and function library based coding. I am responsible for maintaining a suite of deployment scripts that check the sanity of weekly developmental builds as well as one hundred and eighty scripts that test every type of granular functionality and cosmetic detail across the 401(K) system. The automated test scripts are documented in a series of manuals which are created before scripts are coded and to the time that a script is retired. I have trained an employee and three other contractors on how to build and maintain scripts in our environment which follow coding standards, business procedures and documentation. I have a background as a developer of a 401(K) system from when I was a DBase programmer and my business knowledge of the subject matter is very useful.

I gathered design requirements and gave demonstrations of my design construct at weekly meetings.

Designed and debugged Excel Workbook scripts for the Office of Payroll Administration using a keyword driven framework. The Framework consists of action/keyword pairs that are being used to write tens of thousands of scripts that test time card tracking for city agencies such as Parks, Fire and Police. I wrote and instituted an Excel macro that recognizes the keyword pairs and automatically populates and stylizes related areas of the workbook. I designed a VBA script that uses Quality Center APIs to link Test Cases to Requirements based on customized fields using Quality Center factory and filter objects. I wrote an Excel VBA macro that collects keyword usage from the workbook test suite.
