Operational DBA /SharePoint Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the mental and physiological status of staff and take appropriate action to mitigate stress and complete the projects within stipulated timeframe.
- Document the architecture for database upgrade/migrate from one RDBMS and/or platforms to another.
- System and Database performance management and monitoring so as to abide by the SLAs.
- Managing Active Directory with reference to security credentials, Group Policy and server management.
- Executing the test scenarios/UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for the databases based applications and hoisting of Websites using IIS.
- Maintaining the SQL Server health, backups and restoration of databases in the order of few TBs.
- Managing and optimizing database, creating jobs and schedules so as to avoid dead - locks.
- Maintain database and application roles security by monitoring/granting and revoking privileges to vendors/users on the Production server.
- Maintaining Change Management in the Sharepoint Environment by creating CAB tickets and tools like Visual QSM. All developed objects are propagated to production by me after Change Management approval.
- All Production Servers and Development/Staging Servers databases are backed up using a third party tool “Redgate Toolbelt” and monitored using third party tools like SQL Sentry.
- Gathering and documenting business requirements to support key enterprise projects and project team members and Identifying and promoting process improvement opportunities for gathering requirements
- Create and maintain Project Charter and Customer Requirement Template for each assigned project
- Scope and Assess each project impact from each grouping and perform risk analysis with Subject Matter Experts
- Update existing and or develop new Use cases based on Project Impact
- Create process flow diagrams and sync up those diagrams with IT team for accuracy and maintain them for future reference
- Prepare Business Process solution and to drive high level Impact summary to the Business and system used
- Perform Gap analysis between current system and future system to make sure all the data elements need to perform and the business has been taken care of
- Conduct JAD (Joint Application Design/Development) sessions with business and or IT to support all key projects that have already been funded
