  • Created a custom site with custom apps for the Medicaid Registration project. End users from the Exchange, and various state agencies were emailing around large spread sheets related to this project.
  • It was hard for consumers of these spread sheets to know what was current or stale data. The developed solution consisted of versioned custom lists and libraries utilizing custom content types, metadata, and managed metadata.
  • List and document versioning showed the most current data to all end users. Also, end users could easily lookup and reference past data.
  • Adding custom metadata to document libraries and lists made documents and list items easy to find, filter and highly searchable.
  • The lists where created so that list owners could copy large amounts of excel spread sheet data directly to the sites lists.
  • This made emailing around large excel spread sheets unnecessary.
  • Since the users of this site were from multiple state agencies a complex permission matrix was implemented so the right people could perform CRUD operations dependent on their permissions.
