Responsibilities:
- Gathering the requirements from the business users and converting them to technical requirements.
- Used content query web part to create a master blog page that takes blogs from all the Technology focus group sites (sub-sites), so that users who are interested in multiple TFG blogs need not go to every sub-site.
- Created an Event handler in C# to develop a master list of all the calendar events from all TFG sub-sites. This includes extracting the picture that is uploaded as an attachment to the events. The list events itemAdded, ItemUpdated and Itemdeleting are handled.
- Used javascript code to hide the “Actions” button in the survey list, by identifying the id of the button from html code. Have used developer tools to find the html. Used Content Editor Web Part to add javascript to the page.
- Used jQuery code to create a video library page. The videos are played in Windows media player embedded in the web browser, where the links to the videos are coming from a sharepoint list and the videos are hosted in MMS server. The whole code is put in a string builder and is displayed on the page using Visual web part.
- Created a list workflow in sharepoint designer that moves a calendar event from staging calendar to the production calendar. The purpose of staging calendar is to allow the content owner to finalize the content before publishing it.
- Created a visual web part in C# that would display the list of all the TFG sites that the current logged in user have subscribed to. Used literal control to have links to the sub-sites. Used linq to get the data. This web part is used in the sharepoint user profile page.
- Created a publishing page template using sharepoint designer, with all the desired web parts added to it, so that the users don’t have to add the web parts every time the page is created. This is used in the marketing page for TFG events.

- Developed a visual web part in C# that displays the latest 15 updated user profiles. The data is pulled from the sql command since the user profile database can be accessed from sql server .The data base is Profile DB and the table is UserProfile Full. The web part displays the user picture, full name, link to the profile and department. CSS and JQuery are used to customize the look and feel. The html code is appended using the string builder put in a div inside the visual web part.
- Developed a visual web part in C# that would display the latest calendar events from different TFG sub-sites in a slide show. JQuery has been used to design the slide show. And the interesting part is to extract the meeting space and the attachment link (in which the picture for the slide show is used) that is associated with every calendar event.
- Created a new display form using sharepoint designer to hide the meeting space field of calendar from the users. The XSLT code is modified appropriately to avoid changes in the date column of the form.
- Created a visual web part in C# that would display all the lists on the quick launch bar from all the TFG sub-sites. Dynamic check boxes on the page help the users to create / delete the sharepoint alerts and pick the alert frequency on a button click. A customized email template is used to create the alerts in sharepoint foundation. Ajax collapsible panel is used to display the alerts for different TFGs on the same page.
